Policies for: Attendance - Tardies - Passes

The goals of these policies are to increase students’ time in class.

Being on time to class will:

    • Minimize disruptions to the learning environment
    • Teach a life skill of punctuality and respect
    • Promote a culture of academic integrity
    • Improve ADA
    • Improve Passing Rates

    Roles and Responsibilities

In order for us to achieve these results there must also be a strong, CONSISTENT effort from each person in our community to help students arrive to class on time and be prepared to learn. Parents and students can assist in these efforts by:

    • Arriving at least 10 minutes prior to start of day
    • Arriving to each class on time
    • complying with all assigned interventions
    • keeping a valid hall pass visible at all times when out of class
    • communicating with the attendance office, teachers, counselors and administrators as needed.

Tardies and Truancies: School wide Expectations

    • Students should be in their seat when the tardy bell rings or the teacher may mark them tardy.
