Mr. Robb - 4th Grade
I have been an educator in Tehachapi for 26 years. I started my teaching career as a high school photography, journalism/newspaper, and ROP/CTE computer graphics teacher at Tehacahapi High School. I was at THS for 11 years.
I have been at Tompkins for 14 years teaching 4th and 5th grades. I spent one year at Monroe High School teaching digital photography, yearbook, journalism, history and other core subjects.
I have been the Spelling Bee Coordinator for seven years. I also have been a site technology mentor, GATE Director and teacher and I have also served on the District Technology Committee. As the GATE teacher, 4th and 5th students produced two elementary taboloid newspapers and helped photograph and design the Tompkins yearbook.
Honors and Achievements - The Warrior Newspaper won 3 "Best of Shows" or "First Place" awards at JEA State Journalism Competition Conventions The students won #1 National "Best High School Newspaper" for high schools with 1,500 students in Portland, Oregon in April 2003. I have also been a state judge for photojournalism, newswriting, feature, and editorial writing as well as a JEA/NSPA national judge in all categories of photography.
Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising-Illustration from Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara in Commercial Illustration.
Multiple Subjects Credential from Fresno State University.
Masters Degree in Education from Fresno Pacific University.
