Ms. Cynthia Wilder - Special Education (K-5)
Welcome parents, guardians, and students! My name is Cindy Wilder, and I teach a class for autistic students in grades K-5. I love working with children, and have had the pleasure of teaching students of many ages over the years. I am dedicated to the education and positive development of children with special needs. I have taught here at Cummings Valley for three years. Before moving to Tehachapi, I spent six years as an RSP teacher in Inglewood and another nine years as a Special Day Class teacher in Long Beach.
I graduated from Stanford University in 1989 with an undergraduate honors degree in history. I also hold a master's degree in American history from UCLA and a master's degree in special education from CSU Dominguez Hills. I am certified to teach students with mild/moderate disabilities, English Language Learners, and autistic students.
I have been married for over twenty years and I have two children. My older son is a seventh grader at Jacobsen Middle School and my younger son is a fourth grader here at Cummings Valley. I am blessed to work in a profession where I get to be part of my children’s education.
