Message from Mr. Hargleroad to Earth and Environmental Science students:

Hope you and your families are doing well during these interesting times. I have family in San Diego, Ventura, and the bay area. Each family situation is different. We are learning as we go the best practices to stay safe and healthy. I am enjoying my walks in Stallion Springs and have seen elk, weasel, a bobcat, herons, and a skunk. The Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) will let us share our wildlife observations, wildflower photos and complete a variety of distance learning activities. Please complete Canvas training and login to Canvas ASAP.

Please continue to take nature walks and stargaze during the evenings.

Here is a recent Public Broadcasting documentary on Covid19 that I found informative: Coronavirus Pandemic; Tale of Two Washingtons. http://to.pbs.org/hxRvQP

Select other PBS documentaries to watch at the NOVA PBS Official YouTube channel and/or YouTube Nature on PBS. These documentaries make learning science an hour a day so easy.

Here are some online articles I found informative:

Tehachapi News, Jon Hammond recent article on Stargazing

Forbes magazine “Five Incredible Space Places Showcased by Hubble Images"

Look forward to working with you on Canvas, but I wish I could see you on Campus instead.
