Mr. Robb - 4th Grade
I have been teaching 4th and 5th grades at Tompkins for 15 years.
I have served as the Spelling Bee Coordinator, a site technology mentor, GATE Director and a member of the TUSD District Technology Committee. As the GATE teacher, 4th and 5th grade students produced two elementary tabloid newspapers known as the Tiger Tracks and it was printed professionally in Bakersfield. The GATE photography class also helped in the redesign the Tompkins yearbook.
I started my teaching career as a high school photography, journalism, and CTE/ROP computer graphics teacher at Tehachapi High School.
Honors - serving as the Journalism teacher/adviser - The Warrior Newspaper won three (3) "First Place" awards at Journalism Education Association (JEA) State Conventions in Anaheim and in San Jose. The Warrior won #1 National "Best High School Newspaper" for rural or small high schools with 1,500 students in Portland, Oregon in April 2003.
Bachelor of Arts Degree in Commercial Advertising and Illustration from Brooks Institute of Photography, Santa Barbara, CA.
Multiple Subjects Credential from Fresno State University.
Masters Degree in Education from Fresno Pacific University at Bakersfield Extension.
