    WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL! 

    We hope you all had a great winter break 

    YEARBOOK PRICES

    • Yearbooks can be preordered until January 31st for $15.00
    • February 1st-April 1st yearbooks can be preordered for $20.00
    • No preorders will be accepted after April 2nd.
    • Yearbooks can be purchased for $25.00 CASH ONLY upon delivery in June.
    • Quantities are limited. 

    Grade Level News:

    • 3rd/4th/5th: Our science fair will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2020. Please drop off your projects in the morning before school. Judging will be done that morning, family viewing, and awards will be given that night from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Awards will be given out at 5:30 pm. 

    Other News:

    • As we approach cough/cold season, please remember cough drops are not to be sent to school with students
    • Magic Mountain Read to Success is now online. Track your reading with school code UQP48. Read for 360 minutes, log your reading and earn a free Magic Mountain ticket. Other incentives are being offered online.
    • Mobymax Donut Challenge: The top TEN students with the most minutes on Mobymax over the winter break will get donuts with Mrs. Rhea on Friday, January 10th. The contest begins on Friday 12/20 and ends on Sunday 1/5. Personalized log-in information will be sent home before winter break. Happy Learning!!!
    • Report cards go home on Friday, January 11th
    • Mrs. Fields Student Council Cookies and Goodies fundraiser from January 13-31st. All orders are due Friday, January 31st. The order will be here by mid-February. 
    • GH Science Fair is scheduled for January 15th
    • Popcorn/Pencil Day is on Wednesday, January 15th
    • There is no School on January 20, 2020, in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day
    • Volunteer training at 9:30 am on Tuesday, January 21st at Golden Hills Elementary
    • The Spelling Bee is scheduled for Friday, January 24th for 4th and 5th grade
    • Friday, January 31st: Mustache Day (wear your funniest mustache)

    Student Council

    • Wear Yellow and Blue every Friday to help your class win the Eagle. The class with the highest winning percentage earns a class party at the end of the quarter!

    PBIS:

    • Our Quarter 2 PBIS "Rock of Ages" dance events are scheduled as follows:
    • 4th/5th grade Tuesday, Jan. 14th from 2:30-3:15
    • 2nd/3rd grade on Wednesday, Jan. 15th form 2:15-3:15
    • 1st grade on Thursday, Jan 16th  from 2:20-3:00
    • TK/K on Friday, Jan 18th from 2:20-3:00.
    • Chaperones are needed. 
    • Donations of M&Ms, Skittles and Gummy Bears for our popcorn are appreciated!

    Music News:

    • The following classes ave music during 3rd Quarter: Miss Juergens, Mrs. Gibson, and Mrs. Marquesen
    • 3rd Grade did a fantastic job in Winter Around the World. Thank you for coming out to their show. They are now starting a basic rhythm unit. 
    • 4th Grade is working hard to be ready for Go West which will be on March 2nd at 6 pm.
    • 5th Grade is starting to work on their show Tune into Time which will be on March 30th at 6 pm.

    Parent Reminder:

    • Please do not drop students off before 8:30 am as there is no supervision (excluding tutoring). Pets are not allowed on campus. When picking up or dropping off, please do not exit your vehicle unless you are parked in the parking lot. Also, please try to pull forward when a spot becomes available in the line. We appreciate your patience and support.
