About

We're glad you stopped in to see what's going on here in Tehachapi, California. We are located in the mountains at just above the 4,000 ft. level, on Highway 58 about 40 miles northwest of Lancaster and 40 miles southeast of Bakersfield. We have a population of about 6800 in town. In the outlying areas of Bear Valley, Stallion Springs, Alpine Forest, Country Oaks, Golden Hills and other areas, we have another 26,000 residents and growing. In Kern County, our town is known as the "Land of Four Seasons" because we often have the pleasure of all four seasons in one day!

Jacobsen takes pride in its staff and student body and provides a strong academic program. Our teachers play a significant role in helping to develop a student's potential for excellence by providing a curriculum that promotes responsible, capable people through the development of social and academic life skills.
